A FairLife Mark conveys a moral commitment from the provider but does not offer legal protection.

In addition, there are three things a FairLife Mark does NOT say:

  • A Fairlife Mark does NOT say a product is best value.

  • It does NOT say a product is suitable for you.

  • Or that individuals are NOT responsible for their own financial decisions.

HOW IS THE FairLife Mark EARNED?

The FairLife Mark is awarded after a process of assessment, verification and approval. The mark verifies that less visible aspects of the product work for you, as well as confirming that the provider has taken the FairLife Pledge to price honestly and trade fairly with customers.

WHAT PRODUCTS DOES THE FairLife Mark COVER?

The FairLife Mark is a product-level trademark designed to cover all areas of finance.  Products that benefit from the mark carry the FairLife logo:

WHO AWARDS THE FairLife Mark?

A FairLife Mark is awarded by FairLife Ltd, a subsidiary of the FairLife Charity (charity no. 1165154). The charity’s dual mission is to raise standards in financial services and improve financial education in schools.

HOW WILL THE FairLife Mark HELP CHILDREN?

Once the fair trading mark is a household name, its yearly license fees will fund a coordinated approach to financial education that spans from nursery to sixth form. 

In addition:

  • The fair trading mark will help companies to agree standardised words for describing products and charging customers that make the subject easier to teach and understand.

  • Children seeing the FairLife Mark on real-life products that they and their parents use every day will make the subject more relevant and easier to remember.
